Thematic Drawing
This project is a thematic drawing. We choose a picture of someone or from sometime that had some sort of meaning to us, and we drew it. After drawing, we shaded our portraits to make them look life like. For this project I chose a picture of me and two of my best friends ( Brie and Regan) going to the homecoming game. I chose that picture because i'll never forget that weekend and my friends have a lot of meaning to me.
Sort-of Preliminary
This is the picture of what I based my drawing off of. I intended for this picture to be my preliminary designs, but they have gone missing, so this is the best I could do. From left to right: me, Brie, and Regan. In this picture we are on our way to the homecoming game, preparing ourselves for a weekend filled with fun! Its one part of freshman year I will never forget.
Overall!
This picture is the picture of my overall drawing!! There is still a lot of work to be done with it, especially the shading and little parts of the faces here and there. I think overall, even though i turned it in really late, I still had a lot of fun with the project. I discovered that I actually really like drawing, that is if I can get the picture to turn out the way I want it to be.
Close up #1- Brie
This is one of my close-up pictures! In this picture, you see Brie. She is my most favorite part of the drawing, because she looks so much more life like compared to everyone else. I still have some shading to do to her though.
Close up #2- My eyes
This photo is a close-up of my eyes! I included this photo because the eyes were my favorite thing to draw. I think how well the eyes look determine how life like the picture is going to look like.
Close up #3- Brie's eyes
This photo is a close-up of bries eyes!! I chose this photo because, like I said in the picture above, I think the eyes are what adds life to the drawing. Brie's eyes are my favorite drawn feature out of the three of us.
